NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It was established in 1961 with the objective of providing quality education to all children in India.
NCERT is responsible for developing and publishing textbooks for classes I to XII in all major Indian languages. It also develops and conducts teacher training programs, conducts research in education, and provides academic support to schools.
NCERT textbooks are widely used in schools across India. They are known for their high quality and comprehensive coverage of the syllabus. NCERT textbooks are also used by students preparing for competitive exams such as the JEE Main and NEET.
