Directive principles mentioned in other parts

In addition to the Directive Principles of State Policy listed in Part IV of the Indian Constitution, there are a few Directive Principles mentioned in other parts of the Constitution. These are:

  1. Article 350A: This article, which provides for facilities for instruction in mother tongue at primary stage, is mentioned in Part XVII of the Constitution, which deals with Official Language.
  2. Article 371A: This article, which provides for special provisions with respect to the State of Nagaland, is mentioned in Part XXI of the Constitution, which deals with temporary, transitional and special provisions.
  3. Article 371F: This article, which provides for special provisions with respect to the State of Sikkim, is also mentioned in Part XXI.
  4. Article 371G: This article, which provides for special provisions with respect to the State of Mizoram, is mentioned in Part XXI.
  5. Article 371H: This article, which provides for special provisions with respect to the State of Arunachal Pradesh, is also mentioned in Part XXI.
  6. Article 371J: This article, which provides for special provisions with respect to the State of Andhra Pradesh, is mentioned in Part XXI as well.

Although these principles are mentioned in other parts of the Constitution, they are still considered to be part of the Directive Principles of State Policy as they aim to promote the welfare of certain sections of society and provide for their upliftment.
